It sounds like you do not have them setup correctly in that file for you are not using that file to play those animations. The following set of maps are updated versions of classic Quake III Arena maps, with updated architecture and the expansion's new content (including weapons and powerups).Again, those are part of the extended animations controlled by the models animation.cfg file.
